Choosing the right rainwater diverter for your situation is important for trouble free access to your stored rainwater. The most cost effective option is the standard diverter, which fits standard downpipes and efficiently diverts water into your water butt, acting as an overflow once the butt is full. If the water you are collecting is contaminated by debris, for example leaves, twigs and moss, then a filtered diverter is a wise choice. The Guttermate diverter uses a removable basket to trap the debris before it enters your water butt. The removable basket should be cleaned regularly. The 3P diverter diverts debris, rather than collecting it, using a fine mesh stainless steel barrel filter to ensure that only clean, high quality rainwater is collected. This barrel filter is easily removable without disassembling the unit, but needs less frequent cleaning. The 3P filter has the advantage of fitting all sizes of downpipe from 65 to 110mm.
